Ben Newhouse's music has been used in over 150 television series and more than 1,500 episodes. He composed music for the Disney DVD logo, Biography on A&E, Lance Burton Magic Show, and multiple projects for NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX.
Ben is an alumni of the Eastman School of Music, where he studied music composition. His concert compositions have been performed by the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, the William and Mary Symphony Orchestra, the PA Governor's School of the Arts Orchestra, and various chamber ensembles throughout the United States and Asia. Ben was awarded the 1999 BMI Peter Carpenter Fellowship to study film scoring with Mike Post.
Ben was a professor at the Berklee College of Music, where he taught MIDI sequencing and music production. Ben also published the book, Producing Music With Digital Performer, via Berklee Press. It is currently available through traditional retail and internet outlets.
Ben authored the Orchestration and Digital Performer online classes for Berkleemusic.com and currently oversees and teaches both programs for Berklee.
Ben is a 2006 graduate of the Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California, where he completed a Masters of Business Administration on full academic fellowship.
